Objective
To provide procurement professionals with the ability to obtain approvals for various parts of their process.
The Process
Research + Insights
Since this was a major initiative that we were undertaking at Bonfire, we had an extremely robust research phase that included Customer/Prospect Interviews, Market Analysis, Competitive Analysis, Internal Stakeholder Interviews, Focus Groups, and Customer Workshops. Through the research we were able to identify that procurement professionals needed a flexible way to obtain hard/soft approvals.
Concept + Validation
I used all of the information captured to start to develop user journey maps, interaction paths, flow diagrams, low fidelity wireframes to further dive into the challenge space. We went through several internal and external (client/prospect) reviews to ensure we were flexible while maintaining true to procurement legislation.
Final Design
Although we had a very strong understanding going into development, we were able to rapidly iterate and react to the testing. I introduced additional capabilities in the soft launch phase that ended up significantly increasing the module engagement and usability for our users.
